In the past week, I’ve done thorough research about Maropost. So I can tell you a lot of things about Maropost to help you make an informed and wise decision.
In this Maropost review, I’m going to cover the following.
What is Maropost?
Maropost is a cloud-based marketing automation platform designed for Business-to-Consumer (B2C) companies in acquiring, engaging, and converting prospects and customers over a variety of channels including email, social media, web, and mobile.
With Maropost, marketers can easily create complex customer journeys, deliver targeted e-mails and optimize their campaigns. Maropost’s automated features allow marketers to focus more on strategic needs.
Maropost does not require data integration since it has built-in features, including Mail Transfer Agents that power the email system.
But if a company has customer and purchasing data stored in separate systems, Maropost offers integration with over 500 applications, such as customer relationship management software (CRM) and e-commerce systems.
While Maropost has many functions, in the following section I focus on its four main channels of marketing.
The Journey Builder enables users to create a campaign with a drag-and-drop interface, where they can add images, text, and other elements.
With the personalization feature of Maropost, users can also create unique email campaigns by building targeted segmentation lists, adding dynamic content, and scheduling email sends based on criteria (e.g. time of purchase, customer engagement).
With built-in and custom email campaign reporting templates, marketers can track their campaigns just as easily. They can also optimize those campaigns with two features: Priority Send and Optimize on Open.
Marketers use Priority Send to prioritize customers based on engagement and send messages to those most likely to engage as early as possible.
Marketers can send emails with different calls to action based on when they are opened through the Optimize on Open feature.
If a recipient opens the message after the expiration date, they will receive a different call to action than if they open it beforehand.
Further email marketing features include email templates and multi-variate A/B testing.
Just as with email campaigns, marketers can set up text (SMS) campaigns by customizing their messages, previewed them, and scheduled them for sending.
Marketing managers can also set up push notification alerts with in-app deals/discounts or in-app events that send push notifications. This helps them monitor their mobile app engagement metrics.
Marketers can use the Acquisition Builder in this channel to track the website activity of visitors and convert them into prospects.
The Acquiring Builder is a drag-and-drop interface used to create lightboxes, which are placed on a page in order to entice users to provide information such as their contact information.
Marketers can also use the Acquisition Builder to create personalized landing pages, integrated forms, and single-step or multi-step forms.
Social media marketing
The Maropost channel makes it easy for marketers to generate leads directly from social media. Facebook Lead Ads and Twitter Lead Generation Cards let users take the form from either social media platform.
A marketer can also advertise relevantly on Facebook and Instagram and set up social media playlists that will rotate evergreen and fresh content on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Maropost offers three pricing tiers, including unlimited users, unlimited contacts, and unlimited lists. They also offer specialized packages for clients with complex needs.
At $500 per month, the Essentials plan includes five journeys, 50 custom fields, and 10 concurrent API signals, a mobile app, and many standard features including marketing and transaction emails, SMS campaigns, email templates, dynamic content, surveys, A/B testing, and landing pages.
The variable Cost Per Messaging (CPM) starts at $1.25 for 1,000 messages.
The professional plan incorporates all of the features of the Essentials tier and adds 20 journeys, 100 custom fields, up to 5 GB of relational tables data storage, web tracking, cart abandonment, relational data, content feeds, SQL queries, send time optimization, conversion time optimization etc.
Pricing for this tier is available on a quote-only basis, but the variable CPM starts at $1 per 1,000 messages.
In addition to everything available in the Professional tier, Enterprise includes unlimited journeys, 150 custom fields, as much as 10 GB of relational data storage, journey maps, an acquisition builder, recommendations, pivot tables, customer engagement management, and brand management capability.
Pricing for this tier is available upon quote, with variable CPM starting at $0.80 per 1,000 messages.

With Maropost Marketing Cloud, businesses can streamline their multichannel marketing strategies through a variety of important features.
Maropost, for example, combines email, SMS, mobile, and social media marketing into one complete system. By centralizing marketing processes like this, tracking campaign performance and monitoring key metrics becomes easier, too.
While the platform is ideal for businesses who intend to use multiple marketing channels, it is not as effective if they only plan to use one or two channels. This is important to note when considering the monthly cost of using Maropost Marketing Cloud.
